How Usage Works
Monthly Allowance
- Free tier: 15 minutes/month
- Pro tier: 100 minutes/month
- Resets on the 1st of each month
- Unused minutes don't roll over
Credit Balance
If you have credit packs:
- Credits are used after your monthly allowance is exhausted
- Credits never expire
- Credits work the same regardless of your plan tier
Usage Tracking
Check your usage anytime:
- Click the ParrotPadMD extension icon
- View the usage bar at the bottom
- Click "account management" for detailed view
The account page shows:
- Minutes used this month
- Monthly limit
- Credit balance
- Reset date
Managing Your Subscription
Upgrade to Pro
- Go to parrotpadmd.com/account.html
- Click "Monthly" or "Yearly" under Subscription
- Complete checkout via Stripe
- Subscription activates immediately
Cancel or Change Plan
- Go to parrotpadmd.com/account.html
- Click "Manage →" next to your plan
- Use the Stripe Customer Portal to:
- Cancel subscription
- Update payment method
- View billing history
- Change plan
Buy Credit Packs
- Go to parrotpadmd.com/account.html
- Click "Buy Credit Pack"
- Complete checkout
- Credits added to your balance immediately
Billing FAQ
When does my billing cycle reset?
Monthly allowances reset on the 1st of each calendar month, regardless of when you subscribed.
What happens if I hit my limit?
The overlay shows "Limit Reached" and you can't start new recordings until:
- The month resets, OR
- You upgrade to Pro, OR
- You buy a credit pack
Can I get a refund?
Contact support@parrotpadmd.com. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Unlike Dragon Medical One ($525 setup), ParrotPadMD has zero setup fees.
Can I change my specialty after signing up?
Yes. Go to parrotpadmd.com/account.html and update your Medical Specialty in the Settings section.
Do you offer discounts for multiple users?
Yes! Enterprise plans include volume discounts. Contact sales@parrotpadmd.com for a quote.
